1. remove cap
2. twist up
3. on the CLEAN area of need, use either your clean finger to apply it from balm to area of need. OR roll the balm directly to clean area. 
4. rub in slightly (optional)
5. place cap back on 

*do not leave balm in a hot area as it IS liable to melt - you can place it in the fridge if you want it to re-harden.
**try to keep balm clean as to not spread bacteria
