A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY!

Small Ouchies -
For small cuts, bumps and generally small ouchies...simply apply a small amount to cleansed area.
Tattoos -
Once you have removed the bandage on your new tattoo gently clean it with an unscented anti bacterial or all natural soap we highly recommend the one of our gentle bar soaps!
When washing make sure to gently massage in the soap in a circular motion. DO NOT SCRUB or pick at your new tattoo. Do this twice a day. Once when you awake and once before bed.
After washing your tattoo dry it out by air drying or by lightly dabbing it with a paper towel or clean hand towel. Once your tattoo is completely dry add a very thin coat of our Tattoo Salve, no more than twice a day. Do this only after washing. Remember less is more!

In order for your tattoo to heal properly you need to give it time to breathe. Over use of the tattoo salve can prolong the healing process.

 

The main thing to remember is your new tattoo is an OPEN WOUND until a skin barrier is formed again. It would be in your best interest to not touch it unless your hands are freshly washed. Make sure to stay out of pools, oceans, the sun, tanning beds, and keep it covered if working with harsh chemicals. Keep in mind you are still healing. Doing these things will cause the tattoo to fade and ink may fall out in certain areas leaving your tattoo with open spots.

During the healing process do not scratch your tattoo. It will feel itchy, but that is a good sign and means that your tattoo is healing normally. If the itching is unbearable you may pat or gently tap it.

**If you have any problems with your tattoo during the healing process contact your tattoo artist and he or she will be able to guide you in taking any extra precautions in your aftercare.
